Question 1

How does the scouting platform work?

Accepted Answer

In three steps. Scouts record what they see at training or matches from a phone — technical, physical and mental ratings plus a voice memo, spoken pitch-side rather than typed up later. Every report lands in one live database that is comparable and trackable across scouts, months and seasons. An AI layer then turns those reports into player assessments and answers questions about the whole pool in plain language.

Question 2

Is this software for soccer academies only?

Accepted Answer

No. Soccer, basketball, tennis and football are live today, with thirteen more sports in development, and the platform is sport-agnostic by architecture — a new sport is configuration, not a rebuild. It is used by clubs and academies, by athletic departments, by agencies managing a roster, by individual scouts, and by federations building nationwide talent infrastructure.

Question 3

Do we need match video to use it?

Accepted Answer

No, and that is the point. Youth and grassroots sport is barely filmed, so video-based tools have nothing to work with there. Sportokol captures the scout's own pitch-side observation instead — no film crew, no camera setup.

Question 4

How does talent tracking work over time?

Accepted Answer

Every report, note and assessment attaches to the same athlete profile, from a first trial through to a professional contract. That turns scouting from a one-off opinion into a continuous record, which is what catches the late developers that a single snapshot misses.

Question 5

Does this work across a whole multi-sport athletic department?

Accepted Answer

That is what it is for. A Division I department sponsors around nineteen sports and the analytics industry serves two of them; the rest are evaluated from memory, notebooks and group chats. One framework covers all of them, applied equally across men's and women's programmes, and the seventeen nobody films are the ones it serves best — nothing here needs video.

Question 6

How does it help with the transfer portal?

Accepted Answer

Unlimited transfers since 2024 mean rosters rebuild every year, so every athlete you evaluated and passed on is a target again next season. Because every report attaches to the same athlete profile and stays with the department rather than the coach who wrote it, last year's judgement is still there when the name comes back around — institutional memory instead of individual memory.

Question 7

How is athlete data handled, especially for minors?

Accepted Answer

Consent-first by design: explicit, revocable, per-purpose consent. Minors' data is treated as special-category data and governed separately, and nothing is licensed or surveyed without consent for that specific purpose.
